HELP YOUR CHILD BEAT ANXIETY

The Cat

Seeing your child suffer with anxiety is a difficult experience. And knowing how to lessen a child's worries without invalidating their feelings can be even harder.

That's why I use the cat analogy when helping children (and grown-ups) learn how to overcome anxiety. The cat is a small worry that, when fed, grows into something big, scary, and unmanageable - the lion!

But it doesn't have to be that way.

Don't Feed the Cat is a book for children who worry. It's also for parents, carers, teachers, and healthcare professionals to use as a tool to empower children, helping them conquer their anxiety and take control of their thoughts.

This tried and tested method helps children realise they have the power to stop the lion in its tracks and enjoy each day as it comes.

About the Author

Hi. I'm Sara.

I have been practising Clinical Hypnotherapy since 1994. I have a Degree and Masters in Psychology and have gained over 40,000 hours of clinical experience of helping people to understand how their minds work and make profound life changes.

There's no age limit to anxiety. And often, young people find it much harder to understand the inner workings of their thoughts and emotions. So, I wrote 'Don't Feed the Cat' to help children deal with anxiety at the cat stage, so they don't have to face the lion!

Well-written

"Read with my 8 year old daughter who is going through parental separation. She related immediately to the idea of the lion in the book. I think it helped her to understand how worries can build and gave her a mechanism to reduce those worries. Great book, prompts good discussion with your child and gives them a tool to help reduce their worries."
